Abstract:

TRANSPLANTATION Therapy use of embryos in the two species is possible. First, the body of the fetus. It can be divided into two periods of aborted fetuses and embryos into the uterus. If the preservation of human life, stop using aborted fetus is dead, it is allowed. The fetus inside a woman’s uterus is located between the vital ORGANs and non-vital he should be allowed to separate. Members who abandoned baby’s life is their function, their use is prohibited in TRANSPLANTATION Therapy. non-vital members can also be divided into renewable and non-renewable of non-vital members. non-vital members non-renewable not conducive used in transplant operations, but members of renewable non-vital rationality can be used if necessary. Second, mobile accessories, including embryonic stem cells and fetal cord blood for TRANSPLANTATION Therapy, due to corruption and lack of rational deemed offensive to the fetus, is appropriate.

Abstract:

Surgical TRANSPLANTATION of human ORGANs from deceased as well as living donors to sick and dying patients began after the Second World War. Over the past 50 years the TRANSPLANTATION of human ORGANs, tissues and cells has become a worldwide practice which has extended, and greatly enhanced the quality of hundreds of thousands of lives. The field of TRANSPLANTATION medicine provides an important chance for liaison between psychiatric professionals and other transplant physicians and surgeons. The discrepancy between the ever-increasing demand for ORGANs but the decreasing supply makes it important to evaluate and prioritize individuals who are in dire need of the ORGAN. However, this also gives rise to certain ethical questions. The following paper discusses various psychiatric aspects of ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION in general.

Abstract:

Background: After ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION, many patients have diverse experiences; they face many changes in the physical and emotional aspects of their life. Patients’ understandings of the post-TRANSPLANTATION period influence their adaptation to the changes. There is a need to improving the knowledge of patients’ unique experiences of post-TRANSPLANTATION period and the changes occur in their life. Objective: To explore the experiences of ORGAN recipients in the post-TRANSPLANTATION period. Methods: In a qualitative research using a hermeneutical phenomenological approach, data were collected from April 2015 to June 2016. Participants were consisted of 15 patients who received ORGAN chosen using a purposive sampling method. In-depth semi-structured interviews were held with them. The collected data were analyzed using Diekelmann’s hermeneutical analysis approach. Results: The data analyses led to the development of 3 main themes and 17 subthemes as "back from the grave" with the subthemes of "ORGAN as the God’s deposit, " "God as the source of life, " and "new life"; "chapter of prosperity" with the subthemes of "the spring of the body, " "recovery, " "peace and joy, " "benevolent and good behavior, " "renewal, " "opportunity of being together again, " "golden age, " "positive perspective, " "the sense of normality, " "the return of health, " and "spiritual evolution"; and "the fall" with the subthemes of "a lack of energy, " "the mirage of TRANSPLANTATION, " and "hell on the earth." Conclusion: The patients had diverse experiences of the post-TRANSPLANTATION period, which varied from the feeling of exhilaration and youth to losing energy and the wish for not undertaking ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION.

Abstract:

Active tuberculosis (TB) is one of the major opportunistic infections that may occur in solid ORGAN transplant recipients. Diagnosis and treatment of latent and active TB are challenging in this population due to lack of randomized clinical trials. In this review, we discuss the clinical manifestations of TB, diagnosis of latent TB and treatment of both latent and active TB.

Abstract:

ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION as a new medical problem and one of medical important achievements is regarded to be a token for the upgradation and capabilities of medical centers. Though the phenomenon of brain death and, consequently, the possibility for ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION has led to new hopes for saving a great numbers of sick people, it has been followed by many ethical, cultural and legal rights. This paper has intended to survey some of the current problems in the field with regard to the views of those in agreement and those in disagreement. The important of human life and the necessity for protecting it as a religious duty in the view of Islam from one hand and the weight given to new scientific findings necessary for human life by Islamic teaching from the other, would provoke us to know medical progress in full agreement with shariah. Trying to remove the obstacles and difficulties in the way of ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION, particularly with regard to the emphasis made by Islamic ethics on decreasing the expenses of caring the sicks of brain death and causing hope in the sick in need for TRANSPLANTATION, would prevent immoral and unlawful measures of profiteers.

Abstract:

INTRODUCTION: Syria is a country with a population of 23 millions. The first kidney transplant in Syria was performed in 1979 at Harasta Hospital in Damascus. The donor was a living relative, the recipient received simple immunosuppressants comprising of azathioprine and steroids as the TRANSPLANTATION took place prior to the cyclosporine era. However, the renal allograft remained functional for more than 25 years. The transplant surgeon was an eminent urologist, Dr. Maher Al-Houssami, who 25 years later, became the Syrian minister of health and played a major role in setting the national guidelines that regulated the legal and medical aspects of ORGAN donation and TRANSPLANTATION in Syria. More importantly, he was a fearless leader who worked hard in both words and deeds for banning commercialism in this field.
